Patna:- Chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh has been given service extension for a period of 03 months. He was to superannuate on February 28. General administration department’s principal secretary Amir Subhani told TOI on Saturday an order to this effect was issued by the Government of India on Friday. Singh was appointed Bihar chief secretary on June 25, 2014. Singh, an IAS officer of the 1981 batch, had previously served as principal secretary to the chief minister. He has held key bureaucratic positions in Bihar government, including principal secretary in education department and art, culture and youth affairs department, among others.
